Potongan Cerpen 3
Siang itu langit cerah jadi aku berpikir bagaimana kalau aku mengajak
Kak Hanan main badminton setelah ia pulang sekolah. Kak Hana yang senang
kegiatan seperti ini tidak akan menolak ajakanku atau seperti itu pikiranku.
Kalau begitu aku kunjungi saja dia. Aku menuju pintu dan memasang sepadu
sendalku. “Bu, aku ke rumah Kak Hana ya!” pamitku kepada Ibu.
“Heeh stop stop.. pr sudah dikerjain belum dek?” Ibu menyetopku, saat
itu hari sabtu dan esoknya, minggu, Ibu harus bekerja. Akibatnya setiap Jum`at
dan Sabtu ia selalu mengawasiku agar belajar dan mengerjakan pr, di hari
liburnya.
Aku pun mengelak, “Abis ini aja, Bu. Aku mau main badminton dulu.”
Ibuku tidak setuju,“Nggak, kerjain dulu.” Katanya selagi menyapu
halaman. “Kemarin kamu ngga liat apa
rapor kamu? Merah, merah, merah.”
Dengan itu semangatku hilang
sudah.
Aku pun menurut. “Habis itu aku main ya Bu?” Ibuku mengiyakan dan
kembali menyapu halaman. Aku mencopot sepatu sendalku dan kembali ke kamar. Aku
tak langsung membuka buku dan mengerjakan pr, atau hanya sekedar mengulang
pelajaran Jumat kemarin. Aku menghabiskan setengah jam pertama bermain snake di
HP yang sekarang disebut Nokia jadul, namun bagiku saat itu HP itu sumber
hiburanku. Akibatnya HP nokia itu menjadi godaan.
Menyadari aku terlalu lama bermain snake, mungkin aku harus mengerjakan
pr sedikit. Aku membaca buku cetak Matematika secara religious dan baru setelah
itu aku menjawab latihan latihan. Ini kan caranya sama semua, masa aku mesti
tulis lagi pikirku yang terlalu malas.
“Ya sudahlah, yang penting aku udah nguasai.” Bagiku yang membenci pr,
aku tidak mengerti. Kalau aku sudah mengerti cara mengerjakan soal ini, mengapa
soal berikutnya yang identik perlu aku kerjakan. Begitulah cerita mengapa nilai
raporku banyak yang merah.
Singkat cerita atas keinginan bermain di luar, secara ajaib aku
menyelesaikan semua tugas dalam sekali duduk. Sampai saat ini aku masih bingung
bagaimana itu terjadi.
“Ibu, PR udah semua.”
“Mana liat.”
“Nih. Coba koreksi Bu.”
“Kamu ini, udah tau Ibu ngga ngerti.” Ibu mengernyitkan dahinya, “Kamu
ngerjain matematika atau harta karun. Pake huruf x segala.” Kata ibu sambil
tertawa.
“Hmph Hmph.” Aku ikutan tertawa. “ Udah ya bu, Assalamualaikum.”
“Waalaikumsalam, hati-hati.”
Aku memakai sepatu sandal dan meluncur ke rumah Kak Hana
“Kak Hana!!!” Panggilku seraya memasuki rumahnya.
“Eeeh Dedek, apa kabar? Ibu gimana, sehat?”
Panggilanku dibalas Pak Wili, “Sini, sini mau makan dulu?”
“Sehat Om, Ah ngga usah saya udah makan tadi.”
Pak Wili adalah ayah Kak Hana, sejak ayah meninggal ia sering membantu
keluargaku. Ia memiliki perguruan taekwondo yang biasa saja, ia juga mengajar
eskul taekwondo di sekolahku dan sekolah Kak Hana. Ia sudah cukup tua untuk
mengajar namun ia masih fit.
“Haah.. ntar sore ya Dek. Kakak
capek.” Kak Hana baru saja keluar dari kamar mandi. Ia habis mandi. “Duuh,
ngurus anak pramuka capek.”
“Masuk!” seru Kak Hana. Kok yang aku pukul, ia menyabetnya sehingga
jatuh di wilayahku. “Ayo, Ayo. Tadi kamu ngajakin kan.”
“Ha!!!” aku melempar kok dan menyabetnya. Bukan cara benar melakukan
servis tapi aku ingin membalas dengan smash, terlebih lagi karena lebih keren
seperti ini.
Kak Hana langsung menyabet balik dan masuk lagi, “Masih mau lagi ngga
Dek? Biar aku smash.” Kak Hana tersenyum menertawaiku. “Hooh…,” Ia menguap, “Cowok
apa cewek sih, mukul lemah banget.” Kak Hana mengejekku
“Dih, ini anginnya ngelawan aku mulu. Tuker tempat yuk. “
“Ah, ngga usah. Sepoi-sepoi doang.”
“Main santai aja lah Kak. Nyemplung sungai aja deh.”
“Nggaseru nanti, lagian kapan sih kita main di sini kok nyemplung. Udah
pengalaman Aku main di sini. Ayo lempar!.”
“Ya udah Hati-hati nyangkut.”ketusku. Aku menunggu angin mereda baru memukul.
Pukulanku dibalas kencang sehingga kok terbang jauh dariku, dan akhirnya
tersangkut di antara dahan pohon beringin muda.
“Tuh kan, gak seru Kak . Main jangan ngegas dong.” Aku memukulkan tanganku
ke wajah, haduuh capek deh.” Kak, tanggung jawab kak.” Suruhku.
“Iya, iya setidaknya ngga nyemplung kan.” Kak Hana mencoba mendorong
dahan dengan raket menyebabkan dahan bergoyang, tetapi kok tidak kunjung jatuh.
“Wah mesti pinjem bangku Kak.”
“Kamu coba manjat deh. Waktu itu kan beegitu.”
“Ya pas itu aku yang nyangkutin. Sekarang siapa?” Aku menolak
Akhirnya Kak Hana menurut dan meletakan raketnya lalu mencari bangku. Tempat
kami bermain memang rawan kok hilang. Di sebelah adalah pohon pohon dan di
sebelah lagi ada kali.
Dengan berkurangnya tanah lapang di
Jakarta dan tertutama tempatku tinggal, Kami memakai apapun yang tersedia
termasuk bantaran kali ciliwung ini. Walaupun
bantaran kali semestinya berfungsi untuk normalisasi kali, kami anak-anak
melihatnya sebagai lapangan bermain.
Kak Hana kemudian kembali membawa bangku tukang bakso. Tampaknya ia
meminjam dari Kang Roni di ujung jalan. Kak Hana kemudian naik dan mencoba lagi
mendorong-dorong dahan dengan raket.
“Deek.. Manjat lah. Katamu kan pakai bangku, ngga nyampe juga.”
Bukan salahku kalau bangkunya kependekan. Merasa kasihan aku kemudian
membuka sepatusendalku dan mulai memanjat.
“Kak, jatuh tanggung jawab ya.”
“iya, iya. Kamu jatuh nanti aku urutin.”
Setelah memanjat dan berada di antara dahan dan daun, Kak Hana berteriak
padaku.”Selama niat kita ngga mengganggu, Inshaallah penunggunya ngga kesal.”
“Aww, jangan dilempar ke aku dong.” Yang kesal bukan penunggunya, tapi
aku. Salah Kak Hana sendiri ingin mengusiliku, padahal aku lagi bantuin dia. Yasudah,
terbanglah kok itu ke kepalanya.
“Makanya kak, jangan teriak-teriak. Tuh kakak dilemparin penunggunya.” Aku
melompat turun dari pohon.
Kalau usil memang dia seperti ini, suka menggoda bocah pakai
cerita-cerita mistis nan aneh. Kalau
sudah bicara hantu, dia sudah lepas bicaranya
“Iseng gitu jadi korban loh kak, Hati-hati omongan itu. Mesti dijaga ,kata
orang tua.” Walau aku tak pernah melihat ada yang celaka karena iseng gituan
tapi biarlah, semoga ia mengurangi cerita hantunya.
“Kamu ngga tau apa si anak Haji salim gimana?” Ia mulai bercerita. “Minggu
lalu di kakinya muncul kalajeng.. eh jangan kabur dong.” Tentu saja aku kabur
langsung pulang, daripada mendengar cerita aneh-aneh.

Potongan Cerpen 2
"Ibu, aku
berangkat ya." Andra melihat jam tangan kemudian ia memasang sepatu.
Di mulutnya masih terdapat sisa sarapan.
"Tungga sayang, kau sudah baca semua kan
email dari sekolah?"
kata Ibu Andra mengingatkan.
"Aku baru baca
tadi, Aku sudah bawa semua perlengkapan yang disuruh."Jawab Andra.
“Yakin sudah semua?.”
Andra membuka HPnya kemudian membuka email.
“Hmm.. seragam smp asal,cek. Sepatu hitam, cek. Datang jam 6:30, cek.”
Andra memeriksa lagi email itu. Ketika Andra sudah yakin tidak kelupaan apapun,
Ia menyadari suatu info yang terlewat. “Bu, Aku masuk kelas X-3. Aku berangkat
ya.”
“Iya,hati-hati.” Kata ibu
Andra berangkat sekolah, menaiki sepeda hitam yang masih awet sejak
sekolah dasar. Berangkat sekolah sekaligus olahraga baru-baru ini ia terapkan,
mengingat ia ingin menjaga kondisi tubuhnya. Pukul enam, ia sampai di sekolah
barunya.
“Pagi Pak, sepeda taro sini boleh?”
Pak Satpam mengangguk
“Masih sedikit yang datang, yasudahlah aku jalan-jalan bentar.” Kata
Andra setelah ia memarkirkan sepeda di tempat parker motor. Ia sempat bertanya-tanya
bila disediakan parker motor apakah murid disini boleh bawa motor atau khusus
karyawan. Ia tidak mau berpikir banyak di hari pagi itu sehingga ia menghilangkan
penasarannya itu.
“Haaah…” Ia menghembuskan nafas, matanya memandang pepohonon yang
berbaris di trotoar. Andra kemudian duduk di bangku taman yang tersedia,
memanjangkan tangan dan kakinya seraya merasakan sejuknya udara pagi. Berada
di sini sangat menenangkan. Coba bisa gini lebih lama
Seiring waktu berlalu, semakin Andra tidak bisa menikmati suasana pagi.
Setiap menitnya makin banyak kendaraan melintas baik motor maupun mobil. Andra
merasa cukup dan kembali ke gerbang sekolah. Pemandangan sudah berbeda dari
sekitar setengah jam lalu.
“Hero!!”Suara lembut
dan bersemangat, seperti gadis yang memanggil kuat pasangannya setelah terpisah
sekian lama. Suara itu benardatang dari
seorang gadis. Gadis dengan pakaian putih biru khas smp itu melambaikan
tangannya. Namun, orang yang ia panggil tampaknya tidak mendengarnya. Ia
memanggilnya lagi.
“Hero!” Kali ini suaranya lebih kuat dan keras, tetap saja orang yang ia
panggil yang saat ini di depan gerbang tidak memerhatikan, malah ia memunggungi
gadis itu. “Wis, cukup.” Ucapnya dengan logat jawa.
Andra mengecek jam, sebentar lagi
pukul setengah tujuh. Ketika ia baru masuk gerbang, ia baru ingat sesuatu.
Kunci gembok sepedanya masih tertancap, lupa ia ambil. Baranngkali tadi ia terlena
oleh suasana pagi di sini. Akan repot kalau ada apa-apa, ia bergegas ingin
mengambil kunci gemboknya.
“Excuse-moi. Emm.. is it.. apakah ini

Potongan cerpen
Orang-orang berlalu lalang di ruang tunggu rumah sakit. Pasien-pasien yang akan diperiksa dokter duduk menunggu giliran; cleaning service mengepel lantai basah depan toilet; Suster-suster membawa dokumen hasil analisa medis; dan pedamping serta penjenguk yang menunggu jam jenguk dimulai.
Di antara orang-orang itu seorang gadis berok kuning tampak membawa setangkai bunga. Matanya memandang sekitar bingung ke mana ia harus bertanya. Awalnya ia berpikir untuk bertanya pada meja informasi yang ada di sebelah pendaftaran pasien. Namun, lupakan saja, banyak yang mengantri dan staff-staff sedang kewalahan.
Maklum saja rumah sakit sedang ramai, karena sekarang musim pancaroba dan penyakit musiman seperti flu dan pilek. Walau begitu, gadis itu tidak datang untuk berobat. Ia datang untuk menjenguk, menjenguk seseorang yang sangat berarti
“Permisi, Sus. Kalau ingin menjenguk ke mana dulu ya?”
“Di ruangan berapa dik?”
“Emm.. Kamar nomor 107”
“107.. Kamar Rose ya. Gini dik, nanti adik naik lift ke lantai 3. Lalu belok kanan ada tulisan kamar Rose. Nanti di sana ada nomor kamar bisa dicek.”
“Terimakasih Sus.”
“ Tapi sebentar lagi ya dik. Jam besuk masih setengah jamlagi.”
Gadis itu mengangguk tanda mengerti. Ia mengambil tabloid olahraga dari tempat koran dan membacanya. Ia terlelap dalam bacaannya sehingga tidak sadar setengah jam sudah berlalu.
Setelah mengembalikan tabloid olahraga itu, ia naik ke lantai 3 dan setelah mengikuti arahan suster tadi ia sampai ke kamar yang ia tuju, kamar rose 107.
“Permisi.”
Gadis berok kuning itu masuk, ia meletakan sepatu sandal berbunganya ke rak sepatu yang kosong dekat pintu masuk. Ia berusaha membuat sesedikit mungkin suara tak ingin membangunkan siapapun yang tertidur di kamar karena ada pasien lain yang terlelap dalam kamar.
Ia meletakan tangkai bunga yang ia bawa ke dalam vas disebelah kasur yang dimana seorang kakek tertidur.
“Pagi Ayah,”
“Duh sepi ya di sini. Untung aku datang.”
“Begitu aku dengar dari para senpais, aku langsung buru-buru ke sini.”
“Ayah, tahun depan ayah dateng dong. Kemarin aku dapat juara 2 loh.”
“Lawanku tangguh banget, namanya You-san. Gesit lah, Refleks dia cepet, sangat cepet.”
“Trus-trus, pas aku pikir pukulanku akan masuk, dia mengeblok trus aku dicounterattack deh.”
“Yah. Janji ya..”
“Sst.. sst.. sensei lagi tidur.”
“Kak Hana!”
“Kami minta maaf, benar benar. Tapi Sensei yang meminta kami tidak memberitahu dulu. Ia tak ingin kamu khawatir. ”
“Ah, sensei Bimo. Nggak papa, nggak papa. Ayah memang begitu kok, hahaha.”
“Sudah-sudah, dokter juga bilang sensei bakal sehat beberapa minggu lagi. Yok kita main di taman bawah.”
“Kak Hana! Tu.. turunkan aku!”
“Sudah, gak usah berontak dong. Dah sensei~”

How to read a book?
How to Read a Book

What I've learnt from this book:
Since what we have to learn, as we ascend in our education,
becomes more difficult or complex, we must improve our ability to read
proportionately.
To make the distinction in grades of reading sharper, we
must define the criteria of better and worse.
The first criterion is an obvious one. In many fields we
measure a man's skill by the difficulty of the task he can perform. We could be
moving in circles if we said, for instance, that the more difficult book is one
which only the better reader can master. That is true, but not helpful. In
order to understand what makes some books more difficult to read than others,
we would have to know what demands they make on the skill of the reader
The second criterion takes us further, but is harder to
state .
I have already suggested
the distinction between active and passive reading. Now we can define the second criterion
for judging reading ability. Given the same thing to read, one man reads it
better than another, first, by reading it more actively, and second, by performing
each of the acts involved more successfully.
But I can do one thing more here which may help you get the
feel of what reading is. I can distinguish different types of reading for you. (Jadi, Maksud lo gw mesti usaha

Now, as you go through the pages, either you understand
perfectly everything the author has to say or you do not. If you do, you may
have gained information, but you could not have increased your understanding.
If, upon effortless inspection, a book is completely intelligible to you, then
the author and you are as two minds in the same mold. The symbols on the page
merely express the common understanding you had before you met. (If you understand in the
first try, you may gain information but may not more understand)
Let us take the
second alternative. You do not understand the book perfectly at once. Let us
even assume—what unhappily is not always true—that you understand enough to
know that you do not understand it all. You know there is more in the book
than you understand and, hence, that the book contains something which can
increase your understanding.
What do you do then? You can do a number of things. You can take the book to
someone else who, you think, can read better than you, and have him explain the
parts that troubled you. Or you can get him to recommend a textbook or
commentary which will make it all plain by telling you what the author meant.
Or you may decide, as many students do, that what's over your head isn't worth
bothering about, that you understand enough, and the rest doesn't matter. If
you do any of these things, you are not doing the job of reading which the book
requires.
What I meant by reading: the process whereby a mind, with
nothing to operate on but the symbols of the readable matter, and with no help
from outside, elevates itself by the power of its own operations. The mind
passes from understanding less to understanding more.
There are severalminor points here which you must observe.
It is possible to be mistaken in your jedgement of something your reading. You
may thing you understand it, and be content with what you get fron an
effortless reading, whereas in fact much may have escaped you.
Thus, a man who knows
some of the facts of American history and understands them in a certain light
can readily acquire by reding , in the first sense, more such facts and
understand them in the same light. But suppose he is reading a history which
seeks not merely to give some more facts, but to throw a new and, perhaps, more
profound light on all the facts he knows. Suppose there is greater
understanding here than he possesses before he starts to read. If he can manage
to acquire that greater understanding, he is reading in the second sense.
What are the conditions under which this kind of reading
takes place? There are two. In the first place, there is initial inequality in
understanding. The writer must be superior to the reader, and his book must
convey in readable form the insights he possesses and his potential readers
lack. In the second place, the reader must be able to overcome this
inequality in some degree, seldom perhaps fully, but always approaching
equality with the writer. To the extent that equality is approached, the
communication is perfectly consummated.
To be informed is to know simply that something is the
case. To be enlightened is to know, in addition, what it is all about: why it
is the case, what its connections are with other facts, in what respects it is
the same and different, and so forth.
The point, however, is not to stop at being informed. It is
as wasteful to read a great book solely for information as to use a fountain
pen for digging worms.
Being well read too often means the quantity, too seldom the
quality, of reading. It was not only the pessimistic and misanthropic
Schopenhauer who inveighed against too much reading, because the found that,
for the most part, men read passively and glutted themselves with toxic overdoses
of unassimilated information.

The self-educated man is as rare as the self-made man. Most
men do not become genuinely learned or amass large fortunes through their own
efforts.
We can avoid effort in learning , but we cannot avoid the
results of effortless learning.—the assorted vagaries we collect by letting
secondary teachers indoctrinate us.
Suppose there were a college or
university in which the faculty was thus composed. Herodotus
and Thucydides taught the history of Greece, and Gibbon lectured on the fall of
Rome. Plato and St. Thomas gave a course in metaphysics together; Francis Bacon
and John Stuart Mill discussed the logic of science; Aristotle, Spinoza, and
Immanuel Kant shared the platform on moral problems; Machivelli, Thomas Hobbes,
and John Locke talked about politics.
At the same time, I am saying that the great books can be
read by every man. The help he needs from secondary teachers does not consist
of the get-learning-quick substitutes. It consists of help in learning how to
read, and more than that when possible, help actually in the course of reading
the great books.
While you are in the stage of learning to read, you have to
go over a book more than once. If it is worth reading at all, it is worth three
reading at least.
In the first place, you must be able to grasp what is being
offered as knowledge. In the second place, you must judge whether what is being
offered is really acceptable to you as knowledge. In the other words, there is
first the task of understanding the book, and second the job of criticizing it.
The process of understanding can be further divided. To
understand a book, you must approach it, first, as a whole, having a unity and
a structure of parts; and, second, in terms of its elements, its units of
language and thought.
Thus, there are three distinct readings, which can be
rariously named and described as follows:
I. The first reading
can be called structural or analytic. Here the reader proceeds from the whole
to its parts.
II. The second reading can be called interpretative or
synthetic. Here the reader proceeds from the parts to the whole.
III. The third reading can be called critical or evaluative.
Here the reader judges the author, and decides whether he agrees or disagrees.
In each of these three main divisions, there are several
steps to be taken, and hence several rules.
You have already being introduced
to three of the four rules for doing the second reading:
(1) you must discover and interpret the most important words
in the book;
(2) you must do the same for the most important sentences, and
(3)
similarly for the paragraph which express arguments.
The fourth rule, which I
have not yet mentioned, is that you must know which of his problems the author
solved, and which he failed on.
To accomplish the first reading you must know
(1)
what kind of book it is; that is, the subject matter it is about.
You must also
know (2) what the book as a whole is trying to say;
(3) into what parts that
whole is divided, and
(4) what the main problems are that the author is trying
to solve.
Here, too, there are four steps and four rules.
Notice that the parts which you come to by analyzing the
whole in this first reading are not exactly the same as the parts you start
with to construct the whole in the second reading. In the former case, the
parts are the ultimate divisions of the author's treatment of his subject
matter or problem. In the latter case, the parts are such things as terms,
propositions, and syllogisms; that is, the author's ideas, assertions, and
arguments.
The third reading also involves a nmumber of steps. There
are first several general rules about how you must undertake the task of
critism, and then there are a number of critical points you can make-- four in
all. The rules for the third reading tell you what points can be made and how
to make them.
This suggests an educational principle: perhaps it would
be a sound plan to be sure that people knew how to read a whole book before
they were encouraged to attend a course of lectures. It does not happen that
way in college now. It does not happen in adult education either. Many people
think that taking a course of lectures is a short cut to getting what they are
not able to read in books. But it is not a short cut to the same goal. In fact,
they might as well be going in the opposite direction.
Let me repeat the rule again: you must know what kind of
(expository) book you are reading, and you should know this as early in the
process as possible, preferably before you begin to read
One other instance of practical writing should be mentioned.
An oration—a political speech or a moral exhortation—certainly tries to tell
you what you should do or how you should feel about something. Anyone who
writes practically about anything not only tries to advise you but also tries
to get you to follow his advice. Hence there is an element of oratory in every
moral treatise. It is also present in books which try to teach an art, such as
this one. I, for example, have tried to persuade you to make the effort to
learn to read.
The average high-school graduates has done a great deal of
reading, and if he goes on to college he will do a great deal more; but he is
likely to be poor and incompetent reader. (Note that this holds true of the
average student, not the person who is a subject for special remedial
treatment.) He can follow a simple piece of fiction and enjoy it. But put him
up against a closely written exposition, a carefully and economically stated
argument, or a passage requiring critical consideration, and he is at a loss.
It has been shown, for instance, that the average high-school student is
amazingly inept at indicating the central thought of a passage, or the levels
of emphasis and subordination in an argument or exposition. To all intents and
purposes he remains a sixth-grade reader till well along in college.
Knowledge and skill of mind are not the most important
items in this life. Loving the right things is more important.

Nikmati Setiap Momen Sesering Mungkin
Kita senang melihat hal menakjubkan. Ketakjuban muncul di kepala kita saat ada hal asing terjadi di depan kita. Semakin kita melihat hal tersebut, semakin kita terbiasa dan tentunya ketakjuban kita semakin berkurang. Kita mulai bosan dengan hal itu.
setiap hari kita naik mobil, kita lupa apa rasanya naik kendaraan umum. Setiap hari kita makan, kita tak tahu perasaan kelaparan. Setiap hari kita bernafas, kita mengabaikan fakta kalau kematian tak pernah memberitahu. Kita senantiasa menganggap remeh apa yang biasa bagi kita.
Life is short
Bayangkan anda sedang menyantap nasi goreng. Masih hangatlangsung dari penggorengan. Menyendok nasi dan ayam yang telah disuwir. Rasanya pedas, tapi membuat ketagihan. Tiba tiba nasi horeng anda hilang. Siapa yang memakan anda bertanya. Anda sendiri.
Hidup pasti berakhir entah suka atau tidak. Kita bisa menikmati kepedasan (keseruan) hidup, tanpa ingat kalau hidup itu terbatas. Seakan dunia tak akan berakhir, dahulu smp terasa lama. Namun setelah menjadi murid sma, Saya sadar kalau saya tidak menikmati 3 tahun itu dengan benar.
Semakin dewasa waktu terus berakselerasi. Nikmati setiap momen dengan khidmat. Tanpa menikmati, kita menipu diri dengan berpikir kita dapat mengalami pengalaman masa lalu lagi.
Waktu tidak dapat diputar ulang, perhatikan dan pelajari setiap momen.

Cerpen: Obtaining Immortality
Obtaining Immortality
Death is inevitable. One's effort is futile when time has come. One should treasure his time as it won't go back.
Act 1
This story begins in the wealthiest part of the country. In that region, there lived a prominent businessman named Hamelin Broodwood. Hamelin lived with his family consisting of Hamelin and his three children named Dwerfer, Thompson, and Ashley . In his old age, he felt the most dreaded thing of every human being. Yes, the fear of death, which caused him to have the desire to live forever
Act 2
In desperation he wanted to find a way to immortality, he went to a shaman famous for his prowess.
Shaman: Welcome, I’ve been expecting you
Hamelin: Shaman! I came here so you can tell me-
Shaman: Stop Hamelin Broodwood. Stop wasting your time that’s already short . I know the purpose of your arrival here
Hamelin: Then tell me what I need to gain immortality
Shaman: You look desperate, if you really want, there is a way to gain immortality. (Giving a piece of paper in Hamelin). You must look for Mandrake plant. These plants are very rare, once you find it give it to me.
Hamelin accepted the picture and he went to his house
Act 3
Once he reach home, he gathered his children
Hamelin: my son! I want you to look for a plant called mandrake. Who among you find it then he would have inherited wealth. Here is a photo and description about the Mandrake (giving a piece of paper)
Act 4
The three children were on their way. Hamelin eldest child is a child wastrel greedy. He thought about how he could get the plant while sitting in his room
Dwerfer ; I want my father’s money! I need a plan
Dwerfer: Father did not told me anything about the mandrake except for a picture he showed to us.
Dwerfer: Hmm ... what if I fake the plant so that father will not know. Yes, I need a replacement that he cannot distinguish it and finally I can rule my father’s wealth
In the end, The eldest son managed to find a substitute for mandrake, a plant that is very similar so indistinguishable
Act 5
Hamelin’s wedge child is a slacker and doesn’t appreciate what have given to him. He does not care about the mandrake. He just wants to have fun and party
Thompson: Hey tell your friend I'll throw a party
Stranger: who are you?
Thompson: The coolest person you will ever meet, now go tell your friends
The wedge was happy and partying spree, he then asked a friend to bring him similar a plant so that her father will not angry
Act 6
The youngest child went in search of the plants. The youngest child is the most dedicated of the three. He went to various countries and meet various Kinds of people seeking guidance. One day at a market Ashley was searching Mandrake, when she holding picture of Mandrake that given to her. A stranger peeped in.
Stranger: Hey, i know that plants
Ashley: Oh, Really? Where can I get it?
Stranger: I have it, that plant can be found in my farm, this plant is rare but can be deadly if not treated properly
Ashley: what are you asking for as your payment?
Stranger: I need workers in my farm, if you want the Mandrake then you have to work for me for 2 years.
Youngest child then agreed on the condition that he could bring the plant and will be back again after giving it to his father plant
Act 7
After they came home with the plants they found.Their father proud of them. He brought the plants to the shaman plants like she asked
Shaman: Both of these plants are not Mandrake (refers to the Dweref’s and Thompson’s plants) They are just ordinary plants that you can buy in any regular marker. Your eldest son, Dweref tried to trick you so that he can take over your wealth. However Thompson deceived you so that you won’t know he was just partying
Hamelin: Bloody Hell!! I was deceived by my own child!
Shaman: But this one (holds up Mandrake) is indeed a Mandrake. It seems that your youngest children ,Ashley, managed to find the Mandrake
Hamelin: (sigh in relief) Now I can live forever! Wait a moment, how do you know it comes from my youngest son? And my two kids tried to deceive me?
Shaman: Stupid question, I know everything Hamelin. Now listen, before consuming it you need to fast and meditate for a year away from your home. Can you do that?
Hamelin: For immortality, It’s a little price.
Act 8
After finding out the truth from the shaman. He went home in rage.He found is his two children who tried to deceive him was playing card, Then he shout at them
Hamelin: (Angry) Dweref! Thompson!, dare you to fool me!
Dweref: What’s going on father? I've brought you mandrake like you asked
Hamelin: You want black mail me right! And you slacker, you have a party and think you can get away with giving me a fake plant?
Thompson: I did not mean dad ..
Hamelin: Enough! Get out of my house now! Both of you!
After hearing the ruckuss, The youngest, Ashley, was curious. She wanted to find out what was happening.
Ashley: What happens dad?
Hamelin: Ashley, thank you because you're trying and gave me the real one . I will give all my wealth to you
Ashley: thanks dad, but before that I have to carry out a promise that I made. I made a promise to someone as a price for the Mandrake I gave to you.
Hamelin: Well, fulfill that promise and do not come back until the promise is fulfilled. I will pray for you
Ashley: Thanks Dad, I'll go
The youngest then fulfilled his promise and went on to become workers in the fields such as his promise to a stranger who gave the mandrake plant. The first and second were removed from Hamelin Family.
Act 9
After meditating and fasting in a cave deep in jungle for a year. Hamelin returned to his home to eat the long-waited Immortality plant, Mandrake.
Hamelin(Sigh) I miss my home (Thompson stabs Hamelin)
Thompson: We also miss our home old man (retract the blade of Hamelin)
Hamelin: Thompson! How dare you
Dweref: (coming from behind the door) So this is your fate old man? After you cast us away, we are looking for ways to revenge. And thanks to that old hag shaman, we know the secret about the Mandrake
Hamelin: You killed her? Die you ungrateful children! (Trying to stand)
Thompson; shut up old man, rot in the hell with that old hag (Kill Hamelin)
Dweref: we did not gain any of your wealth, but we can be immortal! Rejoice my brother!
Thompson: Save your talk for later Dweref, Let’s eat this Mandrake first (Leave some plants for Dweref)
Firstborn and wedge it ate plants .their feet instantly paralyzed and they groaning in pain
Dweref: Boody Hell! This plant is poisonous (Moaning in pain)
Thompson: We had been duped (Groan Soreness)
In the end Dweref and Thompson Died because they do not know how to consume Mandrake correctly. While it is fortunate for Ashley who is now a field worker. If she does not keep his promise and stayed at home she might be killed by her two brother as well as Hamelin

Cerita Pendek
Two Kingdom One VOC
Pada zaman dahulu, terdapat dua kerajaan di daratan Jawa. Nama kerajaan
itu adalah Kerajaan Utara dan Kerajaan Selatan.
Kedua kerajaan tersebut tidak saling menyukai, terkadang ada konflik kecil-kecilan
yang terjadi di perbatasan. Masing-masing penguasa tidak mau kalah. Mereka
membangga-banggakan kerajaan mereka.
Munculah para pedagang asing. Mereka datang ke kedua kerajaan itu untuk
membeli rempah-rempah yang dihasilkan kedua kerajaan tersebut. PAda awalnya,
kedua kerajaan dengan senang hati menyambut mereka. Kedua kerajaan menggunakan
uang dari penjualan rempah itu untuk meningkatkan pertanian dan pertahanan kerajaan mereka.
Pada suatu hari, para pedagang asing rempah-rempah membentuk suatu
perkumpulan dagang. Raja Selatan
menyadari bahaya yang muncul karena mereka bisa memonopoli pasar rempah. Ia memperingatkan
Raja Utara untuk mengurangi produksi rempah-rempah dan menanam tanaman lain.
Raja Utara tidak mengindahkan peringatan Raja Selatan. Selama ini penghasilan kerajaan sangatlah bagus, Ia mengambil kesempatan ini untuk memperkuat kerajaannya. Ia tetap memproduksi
rempah-rempah sebanyak-banyaknya sehingga Kerajaan Utara lebih kaya dari
kerajaan selatan. Menurutnya Perkumpulan Dagang tidak akan berkhianat. Sementara itu, Kerajaan Selatan mengalami kemunduran karena
penghasilan mereka berkurang.
Raja Utara yang menginginkan lebih banyak rempah kemudian menyerbu Kerajaan
Utara. Kerajaan Utara tidak berdaya karena pasukan Raja Utara lebih kuat didukung
oleh pedagang. Kerajaan Utara kehilangan banyak daerahnya dan menjadi kerajaan
kecil saja.
Setelah kemenangan Raja Utara, Ia memerintahkan rakyatnya menanam
rempah-rempah untuk dijual. Hanya Perkumpulan Dagang yang bisa membeli semua
rempah dan dijual lagi, Perkumpulan Dagang memperoleh keuntungan luar biasa. Kerajaan
Utara menjadi kerajaan yang sangat melimpah.
Beberapa tahun kemudian, ditemukan daerah yang menghasilkan
rempah-rempah yang lebih menguntungkan bagi para pedagang asing. Perkumpulan
Dagang meninggalkan Kerajaan Utara untuk bedagang di daerah menguntungkan tersebut.
Kerajaan Utara kehilangan sumber penghasilan mereka. Akibatnya, Kerajaan Utara
mengalami keruntuhan dan kelaparan parah.
Kerajaan Selatan yang selama ini tidak
bergantung terhadap rempah-rempah, mulai bangkit. Raja Selatan
menggunakan kesempatan ini dengan brilian. Ia menaklukan kembali daerah yang
direbut darinya, kemudian ia menyerbu Kerajaan Utara. Pada akhirnya, Kerajaan
Selatan menguasai seluruh daratan Jawa.
Kerajaan Selatan bijak tidak menggantungkan diri pada satu harapan. Jika
suatu hal terjadi diluar kemampuan, mereka tidak akan jatuh seperti Kerajaan
Utara. Kerajaan Selatan terus bertahan menjadi kerajaan yang besar dan makmur.

Nih awalnya lagi gabut kemudian buka buku sejarah. Trus ide muncul aja, tapi gk asik bikin cerita bosenin, semua juga tau VOC suka backstab temen. Masak 100% kopikat sejarah.
Tapi ini juga dari pengalaman yakh. gw pengen beli game, upgrade hp, macem2 nungguin THR turun. Tapi dari situ doang gak mungkin deh. Nyesel gw ngandalin THR doang. (Maap jadi curhat)

Target di 68
Tujuan saya di 68 pada awalnya adalah memantapkan pemahaman di bidang akademis untuk mendapat Universitas yang saya inginkan. Bayang-bayang saya terhadap 68 sekolah ini penuh teman teman yang pintar baik akademis maupun non akademis. Tentu saja hati saya merasa doki-doki, bagaimana tidak? ini 68 loh! yang itu loh! Terkenal nih sekolah loh!
Mungkin aku harus menjelaskan sedikitpengalamanku di sini. Semester pertama ini aku melalui banyak hal dan berbagai cerita. Mulai dari LDKS , SSTI, Kerja kelompok da lainnya adalah pengalaman menarik di sini. Bertemu dengan berbagai karakter guru dan kawan menambah rasa penasaran dan ikatan terhadap sekolah dan teman angkatan (kk kelas jg kok).
Menikmati dan mengambil hal menarik sebanyak-banyaknya adalah target saya di sini.
